Open Dynamic System

for Holistic energy Management of the dynamics of energy supply, demand and storage in urban areas

Odysseus @SBE 2016 - Towards Post-Carbon Cities

About 150 participants attended the Conference and many of them raised their interest in the Odysseus session. The discussion was interesting confirming the importance of an open energy ontology for the Domain.

Audience also showed interest in demonstrated system functionality for monitoring and simulation of energy kpi at different level of granularity in the neighborhood.

URB Grade Project - use of dEPC

The URB‐Grade project designs, develops and validates a Platform for Decision Support that will allow the city authorities and utilities to promote and choose the correct actions to upgrade a district to become more energy efficient, cost effective and to increase comfort for its citizens in a District as a Service Platform approach.

The onthology developed by the project is based on some of the concepts developed by Odysseus (including the use of dEPC) with which share the same problems and the same domain.

Odysseus survey for System requirements feedback online

We would like to gather the views from experts in urban and building energy efficiency, ICT software development, the utility service sector, city and facilities management, urban design and planning.

Your views and feedback are important to us so we can validate the initial requirements capture by the cities of Rome and Manchester and ensure that they are applicable to urban areas across Europe.  This survey should take 15 mins maximum. Your responses will be anonymous and we can supply the results on request. The survey is open until the first week in February. Thank you for your assistance.
